About the Contest: The 17th Street Surf Shop's "Dawn of the Shred" will be held October 31st at our Red Mill Walk location, which is located at 2217 Upton Drive, Va Beach, VA 23454. We will have the parking lot turned into a skatepark! The "Dawn of the Shred" will feature a Pro/Am division with a CASH purse of $500! Plus CASH for the Best Trick and Best Costume. The 17th Street "Dawn of the Shred" is presented by Volcom and DC Shoes. Plenty of FREE GIVEAWAYS all day long so bring everyone you know and spend the day with us!

Format:  There will be 3 divisions, Novice, Intermediate and Pro/Am. For Novice and Intermediate each skater will get (1) 45 second run with the top 10 advancing to the finals where they will receive (1) one minute run. For the Pro/Am division each skater will get (2) 45 second runs with the top 10 advancing to the Finals where they will each get (1) one minute run.

How to Enter:  Contestants will be able to register for the contest at any 17th Street Surf Shop, online at 17thst.com or 17thstreetskate.com. There will be a $10 sign up fee for each division, but space is limited, so sign up early.  Registration the day of the contest will be $15, so sign up today!  The registration fee includes a T-shirt, stickers, a free lunch, and a chance to win some great prizes from 17th Street, Volcom and DC. Each contestant must provide a signed copy of the 17th street waiver before entering the contest. If a contestant is under the age of 18, this waiver must also include a parent’s signature.  Download and print the wavier.
